C3 Action Event Recap
On April 26, 2023, 110 community members took part in Arizona Complete Health-Complete Care Plan’s Community Consensus Collaborative (C3) Action Event. This included peers, family members, providers, and stakeholders. C3 brings together viewpoints from across the state. C3 works to bridge feedback to action. The 2023 focus is stigma and value-based purchasing.
To prepare, Arizona Complete Health-Complete Care Plan held events to compile ideas from the public. We gathered input from 365 people. The C3 Lead-Up events were:
- C3 Civic Leadership Development training for peers and family members, facilitated by the Arizona Peer & Family Coalition (39 participants)
- C3 Stigma Roundtable with Adult System of Care Providers (30 participants)
- C3 Arizona Dialogue on Stigma in the Workplace with Peer Support Specialists, Family Support Providers, Peer/Family-Run Organization leaders, and Health Home clinical leaders (32 participants)
- C3 Community Roundtable on Value & Outcomes with peers and family members (4 participants)
- C3 Peer/Family Provider Roundtable on Value & Outcomes with the Peer & Family Support TA Collaboration (10 participants)
- Arizona Complete Health-Complete Care Plan Medicaid Plan President spoke at the Arizona Peer & Family Coalition’s Mental Health Monday – SUCCESS: Defined and Discussed (5 panel members and 15 participants)
- C3 Community Survey sent to members, families, providers, and community partners (229 participants)

Below are results of the C3 Action Event. Participants voted on which goals and details to focus on:
- Work with schools to build future workforce.
- Increase access to peer and family support.
- Improve job skills and career path for Peer Support Specialists and Family Support Providers.
- Launch marketing campaign to increase mental health awareness.
- Create safe spaces to bring people together.
- Provide health information to members.
- Enhance cross sector data sharing.
- Increase member engagement and workforce engagement.
