AHCCCS Child and Adolescent Level of Care/Service Intensity Utilization System Online Self-Paced Training through the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Effective February 13, 2025, AHCCCS announced changes to training for provider staff that are new to Child and Adolescent Level of Care/Service Intensity Utilization System (CALOCUS or CASII). The new online self-paced training will be conducted through The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP). Training through the previous vendor that providers began using in August 2024 is no longer available.

AHCCCS  has  updated  the  CALOCUS  FAQs  located  on the AHCCCS website https://azahcccs.gov/systemofcare under Current and Future Projects & Goals for reference.

Individuals previously trained in the CALOCUS or CASII do not need to undergo new training.

AHCCCS will cover the cost of training for provider staff that are new to CALOCUS or CASII.

New registration instructions for the training and to access the course:

1.     Register via AACAP’s online store www.aacap.org/store-onlineEC

2.     Select the course “CALOCUS-CASII Online Training” and click on the “Add to Cart”

3.     Click on the “Proceed to Checkout”

4.     Sign In/Create a new account. Click “Save”

5.     Enter promo code AHCCCSFREE when checking out and click “Apply” and “Submit Order”

6.     Access the course via AACAP’s learning management system, “Pathways”: www.aacap.org/pathways

7.     Select “Access Your Courses”

8.     Log in using established AACAP username/password

9.     Course will be listed on the left side of the screen
