Your Child’s Growth & Development Matters

Did you know a baby’s brain is 90% developed by age five? From birth, children are always learning, growing, and building the skills for life. These skills, called child development milestones, help parents, caregivers, and doctors track progress and find areas where extra support may help.

Understanding Developmental Milestones

Every child grows at their own pace, but developmental milestones can help track progress in these four key areas:

1. Social & Emotional Skills

  • Building trust and love with parents and caregivers
  • Learning to share, follow rules, and make friends
  • Understanding and expressing feelings

2. Speech & Language Skills

  • Recognizing and responding to words and sounds
  • Learning to talk, ask questions, and follow directions
  • Enjoying music, rhymes, and stories

3. Cognitive Skills

  • Solving problems and making decisions
  • Learning to count, name colors, and identify objects
  • Strengthening memory and early learning skills

4. Physical & Motor Skills

  • Crawling, walking, running, and jumping
  • Using hands for activities like grabbing, drawing, or cutting with safety scissors
  • Building balance and coordination for playing and exploring

Why Tracking Milestones Matters

Early detection of developmental delays can make a big difference in your child’s future. If you notice your child is struggling to reach milestones, talk to your pediatrician or healthcare provider.

Regular well-child visits help track your child’s progress and ensure they receive the right support if needed.

Health Services for Early Childhood Development

Regular checkups and early support help children grow and thrive. Services include:

  • Developmental Screenings – Track growth, check milestones, and find delays early.
  • Well-Child Visits & Vaccinations – Routine checkups and shots keep kids healthy.
